- Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and lightly grease with cooking spray.
- Combine flour, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, and salt in a resealable plastic bag. Seal the bag and shake to mix. Add the chicken wings, seal the bag again, and toss until the wings are well coated with the flour mixture.
- Transfer the coated wings to the prepared baking sheet and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
- Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
- While the oven preheats, whisk together the melted butter and hot sauce in a small bowl.
- Dip the chilled wings into the butter mixture, and place them back onto the baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes. Flip the wings and continue to cook for about 25 more minutes, or until they are crispy on the outside and no longer pink in the center.
