- Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C).
- In a bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth. Add the melted butter and stir until well combined.
- Add the sugar, beaten egg, vanilla extract, baking soda, salt, and all-purpose flour. Stir until the batter is smooth.
- Stir in the mini chocolate chips. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan. Top with additional chocolate chips if desired.
- Bake for 50 minutes to an hour, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cool the banana bread completely before serving.
