Creamy Beef Stroganoff Skillet

A quick and easy beef stroganoff made in one skillet.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup 10.5 oz
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup beef broth
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 8 oz egg noodles, cooked

Method
 

  1. Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Drain off any excess grease.
  2. Add the chopped onion and cook until softened, about 3-5 minutes.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and sliced mushrooms. Cook for another 5 minutes, until mushrooms are tender.
  4. Add the cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
  5. Bring the mixture to a simmer, then reduce heat and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce has thickened.
  6. Stir in the cooked egg noodles and serve hot.

Notes

You can garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
