- Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook pasta until al dente, 8 to 10 minutes. Drain the pasta.
- While the pasta cooks, heat a skillet over medium-low heat. Melt the butter with the minced garlic very slowly to avoid burning the garlic. Stir in the parsley, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper if using.
- Add the drained pasta to the skillet. Toss until the pasta is well coated with the garlic butter sauce. Increase the heat to medium and cook for a few minutes until the pasta is heated through and has absorbed some of the sauce. Adjust seasonings if necessary.
- Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy. Serve immediately.
