Ingredients
  

For the Casserole
  • 6 croissants day-old, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 cup diced ham
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
For the Egg Mixture
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. Spread the croissant pieces evenly in the prepared baking dish.
  3. Sprinkle the diced ham and shredded cheese over the croissants.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  5. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the croissant, ham, and cheese mixture.
  6. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 20 minutes.
  7. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the casserole is set and lightly golden brown.
  8. Let it stand for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

You can add other ingredients like cooked bacon, onions, or bell peppers. For a richer flavor, use half-and-half instead of milk.
