Method
- Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels. This helps create a better sear.
- In a small bowl, mix together the paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Rub the olive oil all over the pork chops, then coat them evenly with the spice mixture.
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Place the seasoned pork chops in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd the basket; cook in batches if necessary.
- Air fry for 8-12 minutes, flipping halfway through. The cooking time will vary depending on the thickness of your pork chops.
- Use a meat thermometer to check for doneness. The internal temperature should reach 145°F (63°C) in the thickest part of the chop.
- Remove the pork chops from the air fryer and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving. This allows the juices to redistribute, making them more tender.
Notes
For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the spice rub. Serve with your favorite side dishes like mashed potatoes or a fresh salad.
