Ingredients
  

For the Cinnamon Simple Syrup
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 2 Cinnamon sticks
For the Punch
  • 4 cups Orange juice pulp-free recommended
  • 4 cups Cranberry juice 100% juice recommended, avoid cocktails
  • 1 liter Sprite or 7-UP, Sierra Mist
  • 1/2 cup Cinnamon simple syrup cooled

Method
 

  1. Make the cinnamon simple syrup: Combine water, sugar, and cinnamon sticks in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool completely. Discard cinnamon sticks.
  2. In a large pitcher, combine the orange juice, cranberry juice, and cooled cinnamon simple syrup. Stir well.
  3. Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Just before serving, gently stir in the Sprite. Do not add ice to the pitcher.
  5. Serve the punch over ice in individual glasses.

Notes

Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to three days. To make ahead, mix the syrup and juices and chill. Add the Sprite just before serving to keep it from going flat.
