- Spray the bottom of your slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray.
- Add the beef and potatoes to the slow cooker.
- Season with the onion soup mix, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and minced garlic.
- Add the butter and water or beef broth.
- Cook on high for 3-4 hours or on low for 6-8 hours, stirring occasionally.
- In the last hour or two of cooking, add the green beans and additional butter if desired. This prevents them from becoming too soggy.
