Ingredients

Chicken Thighs
  • 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
Seasoning
  • 4 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 4 teaspoons dried minced onion
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Equipment

  • Oven
  • Baking dish
  • Instant-read thermometer

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  2. Place the chicken thighs in a baking dish. Season both sides of the chicken with garlic powder, dried minced onion, and salt.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes, or until the chicken is no longer pink at the bone and the juices run clear. Use an instant-read thermometer to check that the thickest part of the thigh, near the bone, reaches 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).

Notes

For a lemon-herb variation, toss the chicken thighs with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning, and the juice of 1 lemon before baking. For a spicy version, add ¼ teaspoon of cayenne pepper or ½ teaspoon of smoked paprika to the seasoning mix.
